Frequently Asked Questions

Do you pull permits for deck construction?

Yes. Any deck attached to the home or over a certain height requires a building permit in Indiana. We handle permit applications as part of the project.

What decking materials do you recommend?

Composite decking (like Trex or TimberTech) is our most popular recommendation for low maintenance and durability. Pressure-treated wood is a quality and cost-effective option. We'll go over the tradeoffs during your estimate.

How long does a deck build take?

Most standard decks take 1–2 weeks to complete once materials are on-site and permits are approved.

Do HOAs need to approve my deck?

Many neighborhoods in Carmel, Fishers, and other areas have HOA requirements. We recommend checking with your HOA before we begin the permit process.
